Written for the ensemble of the Conservatorio di Trento e Riva del Garda and premiered at La Rocca di Riva del Garda in 2015. The production was brought to life through the scenic direction of Giovanni Calcagno and the visual projections of Alessandra Pescetta.
Inspired by the biblical account of the woman who washes Jesus' feet with perfume under the judgment of men, the opera addresses a profound historical silence: in the original scriptures, this woman is never given a voice. By giving her a dialogue and center stage, Peccatrice offers a powerful, modern exploration of the role of women in society, reclaiming her narrative from centuries of external judgment.
