Juan's songwriting moves between rock, funk, soul, Latin and tropical music, often bringing different musical languages together without belonging entirely to one of them.
His catalogue spans more than two decades, from his early work with Colombian symphonic-rock band Eclectic to solo releases, bands, collaborations and songwriting for other artists. His songs often begin with personal experiences, relationships, migration, identity and everyday absurdities, but the music itself remains open to experimentation — from intimate singer-songwriter material to rock, funk, electronic textures and Latin rhythms.
